Fieldwork is a way of informing the project through live observations, both in Lisbon and Fukuoka, about how people get together to dine. Fieldwork also involves activities with local people (workshops) where the participants will help informing the design and support the concept of the project, i.e. to provide different types of dining environments for people to get together in an urban context. All these will inform the final product, the exhibition of [Table for 100’s].

This chapter is directly connected with the remaining ones, but those will be supported by a theoretical research on top of an empirical one. The different processes: observation | exploration | experimentation | research | construction | presentation (exhibition) will be developed with the participation of various people who will have an active role in building up the project.

Fieldwork has been divided into the 3 sub-chapters below that will be updated on a regular basis as the project develops.
